STOP THE
GHOST BUSES.

Had a bus cancelled on you? Waited for a bus that never came?
Hudson Link riders in Rockland & Westchester deserve buses that show up — and info they can trust.

The Problem

Buses don't show up. Scheduled buses are cancelled without notice far too frequently — especially during peak commuting hours. Riders are left stranded on a daily basis, missing Metro-North connections with no alternative.
The info is wrong. The app says "3 minutes" — then the bus vanishes from the screen. No cancellation alert, nothing. And the app data doesn't match the live signs at bus stops either.

We support the bigger regional transit initiatives underway — but these two fixes are what commuters need right now, and they can be done within the current budget.

What We're Asking For

1. Staff the routes so scheduled buses actually run, prioritizing peak commuting hours.
2. Fix the real-time system so cancellations show immediately.

"Three mornings in a row last week, the 7:15 was cancelled. No alert, no notification. I just stood there watching the app count down to nothing."
— H05 rider, West Nyack
"My kids' daycare charges $1 per minute for late pickup. When the bus doesn't come, it costs me real money — on top of a service I'm already paying for."
